Hunters vow to combat insecurity in Imo

Nigeria Hunters Council ,which bill was recently passed by the National Assembly to tackle insecurity especially in the forest has disclosed readiness to fight crimes and insecurity in Imo and South East, Nigeria.
The South East Commandant of NHC , ACG Ihenwoso made this known in Owerri during a courtesy call on the Association of Local Government Of Nigeria ( ALGON ) , Imo State chapter,
ACG Ihenwoso requested the council bosses to give them the enabling environment to function effectively in all the 27 LGAs , by providing offices in every local government .
He also noted that they will recruit 50 officers in every local government and pleaded with council chairmen to help them select law abiding citizens in their respective areas.
He lauded Governor Hope Uzodinma for the gesture he granted to them so far , and expressed gratitude to Commissioner of police and other security agencies .
He assured that they will make outstanding effort in combating crime , adding that bandits and criminal gangs have their hide out in the forests and bushes.
Responding, ALGON chairman, Hon Willie Okoliegwo applauded them for their zeal to fight crime especially in interior areas , assuring that their request will be granted.
